at work to his hand in an
accident
at work.
The workplace
accident happened on 18th December 2007 when a
group of Knauf UK GMBH employees were asked to clean
the rollers on a plasterboard production machine.
Safety guards had been removed and the machine was

assessment had not been carried out before the task
was carried out.
Knauf UK GMBH of Kent were charged at Sittingbourne
Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to breaching
the Management of Health and Safety at Work
Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work
