The employers insurers will insist on an
independent examination by an
agreed medical doctor to assess the personal
injury suffered by the claimant.
Many people worry about this examination as they
may be recovered or on the road to recovery by the
time the assessment comes around. However the
examination very often takes the shape of a
retrospective review and the doctor will have
details of the claimants medical history with
which to form an opinion about the injury
suffered.
You do not need to display any symptoms at the
time of the assessment, if you have gone on to
make a recovery during the period leading up to
the examination then this will be explained within
the medical report provided by the doctor.
