Both Employers and staff must try to help reduce the risk of slipping, tripping or falling accidents in the workplace.

Employers must put in place effective systems that provide good awareness of the danger, solutions for problem areas and adequate maintenance / management of the workplace.

Staff should be made aware of any dangers with proper communication from management and where necessary training. Staff should be encouraged to report dangers and allow the employer scope to maintain a safe environment.

A good management system will help you to identify problem areas, decide what to do, act on decisions made and check that the steps taken have been effective.
