Safety & Health Expo 2009
The 2009 event is promising to be the biggest yet and still the UK's leading safety and health event - 8th October 2008
The
Safety and Health Expo 2009 is set to take place
on 12th to 14th of May 2009 at the
NEC Birmingham,
promising to be bigger and better than the 2008
event which was a great success.
With a total of 19,024 attending the 2008 event
along with the Facilities Show, it is still the UK's
safety and health industries leading event and gives
key professionals and stakeholders the ideal
environment to stay up to date with the latest
legislation, innovations, network and see the
services and products that are available.
The 2008 event featured 'Access Live' which
addressed the workplace falls from height issue
showing how working at height can be effectively
managed. The 'Myths and Realities' exhibit
challenged people to not only differentiate between
fact and fiction, but also to climb a 25ft wall.
There were several other exhibits highlighting the
importance of
health and safety in the workplace.
There was also over 35 hours of educational material
across three theatres, covering issues like health
and safety discipline and dismissal, reacting to
industrial injury, the HSE's 'Shattered lives
campaign', corporate manslaughter and the legalities
surrounding asbestos.
The Safety and Health Expo 2009 hopes to expand the
event this year working with its partners
RoSPA,
IOSH and
BSIF.
