A stuntman, who suffered
injuries at work last Wednesday while filming
for the new Harry Potter movie, has told friends
he'll be back in action before long.
The man, who doubles for Daniel Radcliffe as Harry
Potter, was filming aerial scenes for the new film
Deathly Hollows when the accident happened.
He fell from height
after slipping from a harness, suffering serious
back injuries following an explosion which was part
of the stunt.
After his
accident while working at the Leavesden Studios
near Watford, the stuntman, David Holmes, was taken
to Stanmore Hospital which specialises in spinal
injuries, where surgeons operated on him.
Mr. Holmes was still unable to move his hands or
legs over the weekend with a relative commenting
that "The next few days and weeks will be crucial
for David".
The Health and
Safety Executive has launched an investigation
into Mr. Holmes' workplace
accident.
